The Rusted Fist
The Rusted Fist
Four strangers took the job the rich adventurers turned down, named themselves out of spite, and have been throwing goblins at goblins ever since.
It started in an inn. A blacksmith named Ashley staggered through the door with a gash on her head: goblins had taken her daughter. She begged the Gilded Hand first, the polished mercenaries in the corner, and their representative asked the only question they care about. Can you pay? She couldn't, so they walked.
Four strangers at the next table said yes instead. A tactician named Hank, a psionic brawler named Mia Gnarls, a telekinetic named Alecs Angico (the name is an anagram, and yes, of exactly who you think), and a troubadour named Trian Redleaf who heals people with limericks. Hank named the group on the spot: not the Gilded Hand. More the Rusted Fist.
This is MCDM's Draw Steel, where you roll two d10s, you never miss, and a goblin pushed far enough becomes a weapon. The Rusted Fist fought through the Delian Tomb, stopped a bugbear from bleeding Violet onto the statues to open a sealed stairway, and picked up a spear-wielding fury named Khanarch along the way. Then they went home to the town of Broadhurst and found out everybody there has a problem.
They have already lost one of their own. They have not stopped taking jobs.

Spiders Beneath the Wizard's Tower
They bury a friend, win bacon for life, and follow a trail of stolen leather to a tower where the mirrors are full of glass spiders.
Where we stand
After Session 4, the Rusted Fist is running out of the Silver Wood with no hero tokens, no recoveries and almost no Stamina. Behind them is the Old Wizard's Tower: five glass spiders dead, every mirror smashed, the town's stolen food and leather found under the tarps, and a room full of frightened captives, children among them, still upstairs. The ogres came down the stairs before anyone could calm them. Trian Redleaf lies in a fresh grave at the Church of Saint Gryffyn. Hank carries his flute and the Monster Bane title, and Alecs wears Trian's Bloodbound Band, bonded to Hank. Down in the Delian Tomb, the stairs are still sealed.
