Free the Tower Captives Open

Frightened villagers, children among them, are being held on the second floor of the Old Wizard's Tower. The Rusted Fist got in, broke the mirrors and killed the glass spiders, but the captives panicked and the ogres came down the stairs. The party ran. The captives are still there.

The Stairs Below the Tomb Open

Under the Delian Tomb, a white energy field seals a staircase leading down, beneath a warning about Iulius's cup. The goblins and their bugbear were bleeding Violet to open it, and the frescoes promise a silver chalice that turns the weak into warriors. Who wanted that door open, and why?

Broadhurst's Missing Food Open

Food keeps vanishing from the granary and the smokehouse, and the tavern's meat keeps coming up short. The party found a stockpile of stolen food, and Harim's missing leather, under the tarps in the Old Wizard's Tower. Whether Brune is part of it is still an open question.

Keep an Eye on the Gilded Hand Open

The Gilded Hand sits in the inn eating on credit, won't deal with the bandits, owes Dunquat a stone delivery, and seems to be waiting for something. Ellery says people who cross them disappear.

Broadhurst's Other Troubles Open

Reeve Rosamund's list: Tansy's broken traps in the Silver Wood, Vaughn afraid to go into the woods, Mikael sick and hiding, and Harim waiting on his leather.

Things of note

Bloodbound Bands

Two rings that seep a sticky dark red, found on the bugbear. Each gives extra Stamina, and two bonded wearers share the better recovery between them, but whenever one is hurt, the other takes a point of damage too. Trian and Hank wore them first. Now Alecs wears Trian's, bonded to Hank.

The Silver Chalice

The frescoes in the Delian Tomb show starving, wounded people drinking from an ornate silver chalice and rising as warriors who fight demons. Alecs recognized it as a legendary treasure said to make even the weakest person mighty. The carving over the sealed stairs calls it Iulius's cup.

Faux-Sense Lens Recipe

A recipe in Caelian for pink-tinted spectacles in a silver frame that strengthen magic and psionic attacks and let the wearer borrow the senses of whatever they just hit. Alecs holds it, with the two Volcanic-Glass Lenses from the bugbear, and Ashley is crafting them.

Buzz Balm Recipe

A balm you rub on your skin to stop bleeding, shake off weakness and put some speed in your step. Ellery's family kept the recipe for generations without being able to read it. Mia can, so it's hers, along with a vial of demon honey. (Some demons make honey. Khanarch concludes demons are pollinators.)

Large Brass Amulet

Orson lost it running from the arixx. Hank found it in the lair, untouched by the acid that had eaten everything around it, though the chain was gone. It went back to Orson, who says the chain was his mother's.

The Scythe Trap

A blade-scythe on a pressure plate in the tomb hallway. Trian found it the hard way. On the way out, Hank piled goblin corpses into the mechanism while a blindfolded Alecs guided his hands, and everyone ran past while the blade was busy.

Powers and factions

The Rusted Fist

Hank, Mia Gnarls, Alecs Angico and Khanarch, and until Session 3, Trian Redleaf. They took the job the Gilded Hand turned down and have been taking Broadhurst's jobs ever since. We're the Rusted Fist. We know what we're doing.

The Gilded Hand

Mercenaries led by Targon. They turned Ashley away because she couldn't pay, hauled stone into Broadhurst and never finished the delivery, and now sit in the inn eating on credit. Hank calls them the Broken Hand.

The Tower Captives

Ordinary people, children among them, living on cots on the tower's second floor and watching the stairs. They hushed their children when Khanarch knocked, begged for help when the heroes came up, and panicked loudly enough to bring the ogres down.

The Goblins

The goblins of the Delian Tomb were not raiders. They were organized, they had a bugbear leading them, and they were trying to open the sealed stairs. The Rusted Fist killed a great many of them, often with other goblins.

Lay Trian to Rest Done

Mia carried Trian out of the arixx lair wrapped in her cloak, and Abbott Loric took him in at the Church of Saint Gryffyn and promised a proper grave.

Orson's Amulet and Ellery's Pigs Done

The arixx that ate Ellery's pigs is dead. Hank dug Orson's brass amulet out of its lair and returned it. The chain was gone.

Rescue Violet Done

The Gilded Hand wouldn't do it for free. The Rusted Fist did. They fought through the Delian Tomb, killed the bugbear leading the ritual, and brought Violet home to her mother.
