Orson

Orson burns charcoal at the edge of town and whittles on his porch. He is the old adventurer Broadhurst calls on when the young heroes aren't around, which is why he was embarrassed to admit a giant bug sent him running, and that he tripped and lost his big brass amulet.

Hank found it in the arixx's leavings and tossed it to him, and Orson caught it so nimbly that everyone had the same thought. The chain is gone. It was his mother's. He tells his adventuring stories, Loric says, only when he's in his cups.
